Assistant Teacher –EWU Children’s Center, Cheney
The EWU Children’s Center, Located in Cheney, managed by the YMCA is seeking Assistant Teachers to care for children ranging in age from 6wks to 5 years. Must have an understanding of developmentally appropriate practice and have a desire to contribute to the social/emotional development and overall learning of young children. Must be 18 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent. ECE/STARS training required, CDA preferred. Must pass a Portable Background Check through MERIT. Part time, must be available M-F 8:30-2:30.
Camp Reed Summer Staff

YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coaches- All facilities & offsite
The Health & Wellness Department is seeking staff for the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program. Lifestyle Coaches will provide support and guidance to participants and implement standard curriculum provided by the YMCA. The emphasis of the program is behavior change in a supportive environment. Applicants must possess solid motivational interviewing skills and have empathy for health seekers. Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with individuals and within a group is essential to the position. Must have the ability to work with a wide variety of people and be detail, data, and computer savvy. Knowledge of basic health, nutrition and fitness is encouraged. An understanding of the behavior change philosophy required. Minimum of 2 years of college and 6 months experience in a related setting. Wages DOE. Part time, starts at 4 hours a week. Looking for individuals who are willing to work at all YMCA facilities and offsite including Cheney. Flexible schedule is a must. This position will require a 2-day training on January 22nd & 23rd. Facilities Engineer- Valley
The Valley Y is seeking a temporary Facilities Engineer to assist in maintaining a large commercial building including boilers, pools, fitness equipment. The Facilities Engineer maintains a clean, safe work environment as a member of the Facilities team. Must have High school diploma or GED and a minimum one year experience in like facility, commercial building or building maintenance. Lead Teacher- Central Children’s Center
The Central YMCA Children’s Center is seeking a full-time lead teacher, responsible for the day to day management of a large classroom environment including, child assessment, curriculum development and the overall health and safety of 20 children, ages 3- 5 years. Minimum 2yr Early Childhood Ed Degree or a 4 year degree in ECE, Elementary Education, Child Development or Early Childhood Special Ed. Applicants must love working with young children and have a strong understanding of child development and appropriate practice. NAEYC accreditation experiences a plus.

The YMCA is seeking Member Service Representatives to work at the Valley and North Y Member Services Desk. The YMCA is seeking a Site Director for our new Northwood Middle School after school program. Main duties include planning and leading activities that incorporate and strengthen 21st Century Skills, STEM and personal health and well-being. Site Director is responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging environment for all students at the school. Duties include, but are not limited to, organizing monthly calendars, keeping attendance records, operating the program within its budget and scheduling field trips and special guests. YMCA School Age Care is seeking a Site Director for our on-site programs at Brentwood Elementary School. Must be 21 years of older, have 30 college credits in areas working with children, 2 years experience working with children and supervisory experience. $10.42/hr. up to 29 hrs/wk depending on availability.
