The Bands of BOBFest 2013

Are you ready for BOBFest 2013? Featuring eight bands from various parts of the Inland Northwest, BOBFest 2013 is sure to be a day to remember. From Country to Rock many exciting and classic genres will be showcased but only one band will take home the title of top band. Check out some of the Bands below and be sure to be there Saturday, June 15, 2013, Clock Tower, Riverfront Park, Noon – 6pm.

Acuff and Sherfey

Genre: High-Flying Country Rooted Acoustic

Favorite Quote: “Success is earned never given”

Acuff and Sherfey are a High-Flying Acoustic Country duo that have become local favorites. Justin is the reigning U.S. NW Jr. Picking Champion and placed 2nd in the overall U.S. Northwest regional Fiddle Championship Division. Colby specializes in lead vocals and both Colby & Justin are multi-instrumentalist. Together their musicianship and harmonies have created a unique quality that has sparked national recognition and created a true partnership in music. Their music is Country rooted with hot instrumentals, originality and “True entertainment for all ages.”

Manta Ray

Genre: Indie Rock

Musicians:       Francis Rusnak- guitar

Haydn Halsted- Drums

Emma Bracy- Vocals

Manta Ray is an Indie Rock group from Lewis and Clark High School. In the works for the past three years, Francis (guitar) and Haydn (drums) have been searching for the right members of the band after losing their singer/bass player who moved to France. The lovely Emma (vocals) will be performing along with Francis (guitar) and Haydn (drums) for the upcoming show. “My drum teacher once asked me, “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time,” and that is how we approach our music. We create ideas and experiment with new sounds piece by piece until we create something musical and appealing,” says  Haydn (drums).

Of Wind and Folly

Genre: Rock

Anthony: Guitar/Vocals

Of Wind and Folly is a rock band from Bonners Ferry, Idaho. The up and coming trio formed in a basement in 2011 and placed second at last year’s BOBfest In Spokane.

The Camorra

Genre: Punk/Alternative

Brett, Luke, and Justin have been playing alternative and punk music together for 3 years and have opened for numerous notable bands including The Barb Wire Dolls and Radumus. Their music focuses on the themes: “be excellent to each-other” and “party on dudes!”

The OtH3R Music

Genre: Pop/Rock

Favorite Quote: “Sometimes when you ask God to move a mountain He gives you a shovel.” -Anthem Lights

Based in Sandpoint Idaho, The OtH3R is a high school age band who has been performing for over two years. Serving at their local church, they are always looking for an opportunity to have a great time.
