Q. What if I can’t afford to become a member?
A. The YMCA believes everyone should have the opportunity to become a member. Our Membership for All program makes this possible with a sliding scale for membership fees depending on income and family members. To see if you qualify for the Membership for All program, click here. Additionally, the YMCA also offers program scholarships for families in need of assistance.  

Q. Will my membership dues be paying for the new Central Spokane and North Spokane buildings?
A. No. All construction and facility expenses were funded with capital campaign contributions.

Q. Have the YMCA and YWCA merged?
A. No. The YMCA and YWCA are collaborating and co-locating to better serve 70,000, or 1 in 6 Spokane County residents.  Each organization will retain its unique mission and programs.  Together we strengthen existing programs, and create powerful synergies.
